(This document covers version 1.1.2 of the 'Echo Behaviors' behavior, current as of 2005-Feb-11)
Description
This behavior is simply a convenient alternative to having to copy/paste the behavior onto many similar objects. Behaviors attached
to this behavior
will be copied to every child or descendant of the parent of this behavior.
If
Children Only?
is checked, the behaviors will only be copied to to the direct children of the parent object. Otherwise, the behaviors will be attached to
EVERY
descendant of the parent of this behavior.
Use the checkboxes in advanced properties to determine what types of objects should have the copies attached to them. Turning off the checkbox for a specific type of object (e.g. Groups) prevents the behaviors from being attached to descendants which are of that type,
but
continues to look inside objects of that type for other objects to attach to.
All behaviors are created/copied
onAttach
of this behavior, the first time it attaches. After it has copied the behaviors attached to it, the behaviors are detached from this behavior, and then this behavior itself detaches.
Basic Properties
Children Only?
Apply behaviors attached to Echo Behaviors only to children of the parent, or to all descendants?
